Production accuracy Your first typed answer on a card. A retry straight after seeing the answer is not counted, because it is not recall.

FAQ

Questions

What is Zynlo?

A flashcard app built around retention. You create or import cards, and Zynlo decides what to show you and when, using spaced repetition.

Is Zynlo a flashcard app?

Yes. That is the whole product. The difference is what happens after a card exists: how it is asked, what happens when you miss, and when it comes back.

How does spaced repetition work?

Each review tells Zynlo something about how well you know a card. It schedules the next one for around the point where you would otherwise start to forget, so well-known material appears rarely and fragile material returns sooner.

Can I create my own cards?

Yes. A card needs only a question and an answer; explanation, hints, acceptable answers, common mistakes and a check question are all optional.

Can I import cards?

Yes, from markdown tables, CSV, tab separated text and JSON. Commas and quotes inside fields are handled, and so are accented characters. Importing from other flashcard apps is not supported yet.

Does Zynlo generate cards?

No. Zynlo writes a brief for an AI assistant you already use, and imports what you bring back. Nothing you type or import is sent to any AI service by Zynlo.

Can I use ChatGPT or Claude with Zynlo?

Yes, and that is the intended path. The brief is designed to be pasted into whichever assistant you trust.

Can I use it for languages?

Yes. Accented characters and non-Latin scripts are handled, so French, Turkish, Greek, Japanese and the rest behave properly, and an answer that is right but missing its accents is treated as a near miss rather than a failure.

Can I use it for medicine, law or exams?

Yes. Long questions and long answers are supported, and nothing assumes a card is a vocabulary pair. Please check anything that matters against an authoritative source: Zynlo does not verify imported material.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Your subjects, cards and review history are stored on your device, and studying does not need a connection.

Is there a desktop or web version?

A full web version is in development and will run at app.zynlo.app. It is not live yet, and this page will link to it when it is.

Will it be available for iPhone and Android?

That is the plan, but neither is submitted or available today. We would rather say so than take a pre-order for something that does not exist.

What does it cost?

Nothing at the moment. There is no payment of any kind in the app and no pricing has been decided.
